Plantar fascia is the group of linked tissue beneath the foot. The group of tissue is attached to the heel bone and it extends to the toes.
Plantar fascia is a name used in describing painful heel injury. The injury or inflammation of the heel tissue is called plantar fasciitis. The pain in the heel can be very severe and if left unattended will lead to even more acute pain.
